My husband and I stayed in the Hidden Room for 3 nights and had one of the most wonderful stays of any Bed and Breakfasts we have been in for several years. We usually go on the weekend of our wedding anniversary, but were a week off, but I had mentioned that when I booked, and Mike and Marty made sure everyone knew we were celebrating.
We had a beautiful room, the most fantastic service from everyone and the food was beyond incredible! Marty is a fabulous cook and Mike is a hoot to listen to as he serves. M'lord and M'lady as we called them are simply the greatest asset to the beautiful inn. The afternoon social hour is wonderful to spend time with them and the other guests. Even in a group Mike and Marty make you feel like you are the only ones.The town is lovely and everyone is so friendly. Could not rate any higher!!
For the most privacy, the Hidden Room is set a bit apart from the others and has its own private entrance and exit. It sits above the lovely patio and you can hear the birds and smell the flower blossoms as well as the delicious aromas from the kitchen!

"Dear Marty and Michael,
I swear this is a story about you and how memorable your bed and breakfast is, but please indulge me as I set the scene.
I recently attended the National Association of *info removed* conference in Florida. I was matched up with a roommate at random from Wisconsin at the 11th hour. Since she lived 20 minutes from my sister I thought we would have at least something in common. Needless to say she was lovely and we got along famously.
The last night of the conference as we lay in bed, we started talking about how we felt things went and such. I mentioned that I miss my pillows from home, but that the bed itself was comfortable (I was thinking about your beds and sheets in comparison).
My roommate then mentioned, "Yeah, but it's nothing in comparison to this bed I slept in at this bed and breakfast in North Carolina."
At this my brain began to click. I asked, "In New Bern?"
She replied, "Yeeees."
I continued, "The Aerie?"
She sat up and exclaimed, "Get out! How did you know that!!"
Apparently she and her husband had been to visit you several years ago, and myself just this past August. We talked about how delicious your sheets were and how outstanding the whole experience was. I was then determined that you should know how two women from different parts of the country fondly remember you, your beautiful place, and of course the beds!!!!! If that is not a testimonial, then what is??

Lovely Inn-wish it had been a longer stay. The sheets (and bed in general) were wonderful, and the breakfast (caramel french toast) was as delicious as it was beautiful!
Thanks-...I look forward to staying again.This guest stayed in our Duck Inn room, famous for it low entrance that originated as a closet when the house was first built in 1882. Guests step through this closet-now-doorway and are surprised to find themselves in beautiful cozy room with 11 foot ceilings! A favorite with many of our repeat guests!
Our room was gorgeous! The whole house was a feast for the eyes. So many lovely, appropriate things to see and use if we wanted. The very nicest place we have ever stayed, including Biltmore!
Everything about the visit at Aerie B & B was top notch! Sweet, friendly people, lovely appointments in the house, and the breakfast was outstanding!!! Beautiful to look at and delicious to taste, especially the blueberry cobbler! I hope we get to come back soon.
We enjoyed our stay at the Aerie Bed & Breakfast very much. Michael and Marty are great innkeepers and made us feel so welcome to be with them for 3 nights. Our room is wonderful with the bay window and king four post canopy bed.
Breakfast on the patio was the most welcoming way to start the day. Wonderfully presented delicious meal and the couple we had breakfast with for 2 of our 3 mornings were delightful to be with. Hope we will visit again!
