Bridal Expo 2012

Wow! January has flown by with all the preparations for the Bridal Expo held last Sunday at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. Before the Expo, we hosted 2 tours of potential brides through The Aerie Bed & Breakfast main house, and our Guest House & Convention Center.

Everyone oohed and ahhed over our nine luxurious suites, with the most interest shown in our Magnolia Suite with it's double-jetted tub and rain forest shower, and the private Hidden Suite, with it's sumptuous bridal decor and jetted tub.

Suites in the Guest House peaked everyone's interest also, the Caleb Bradham with its separate sitting room, beautiful bedding, and luxuriously appointed bathroom, and the King George III Suite with it's spa bathroom with a body-jetted shower and separate jetted tub lit by a beautiful stained glass filled window.

All brides on the tour left with goody bags filled with an assortment of our soaps, shampoo, conditioner, mints, bath salts, brochures, postcards, and a dvd of images from weddings held here at The Aerie.

After the tours, we staffed our booth at the Expo where much interest was shown in our wedding packages. We offer affordable solutions for intimate elegant weddings, receptions, honeymoons, bridal luncheons and showers.

Our four packages relieve the bride and groom of the stress that typically accompanies an event as special as a wedding. We do all the planning and footwork so they can relax enough to remember their special day, ending with a luxurious stay in one of our nine suites. We have several elegant locations for the ceremony to be held indoors or outdoors, with the option to move an outdoor ceremony indoors in the case of incliment weather.

Conference Center Work-Out

Our new Conference Center got a great work out this week as we hosted two business groups.

Coastal Beverage took over all the rooms for two days for their Fall Retreat. They were great guests, and we enjoyed meeting and serving them. We look forward to their next stay with us.

On Thursday, Leadership Craven presented their Business and Economic Development program to twenty attendees. Leadership Craven is an eight-month program designed to groom our next generation of community and business leaders. Brian Westcott from the Bridge Pointe Hotel arranged the meeting, Kevin Roberts, President of the New Bern Chamber of Commerce, spoke, and 247 Craven provided a most delicious lunch. After a tour of both the main house and Guest House, meeting attendees lunched outside on our courtyard before heading back for more presentations.
